December 17th

This year, we decided to cut back on Christmas gifts to one another. We're adding another story onto our house and we get a gift that is very precious to us, we have our ultrasound scheduled for this Thursday. We couldn't ask for a better gift than seeing our little one <3
So, just for fun, tell us if you're thinking pink or blue and I'll try to post as soon as possible the result!

Gingerbread House Day!

Timothy, Tyler & Kyanna made Gingerbread houses (or in our case, graham cracker houses), it was lots of fun! Once I said, "it's okay if you eat some of the candy" that's all Timothy would do! Needless to say, his house lacks decoration!

Christmas Activities, part 1

Christmas tree shopping attempt #1. Timothy was so sound asleep that Brian carried around the whole lot like this, and he never woke up! I just couldn't pick out a tree without him....so we came back the next day for attempt #2!

What is Timmy doing, you ask? Fishing. Didn't you know all you need to fish in a Christmas tree patch is a long piece of grass and a little imagination? :)
(So glad you waited until I was awake for this Mom!) LOL

We found it! The perfect tree!
"I'll carry the tree!"

Peek-a-boo, I see you!

Christmas tree shopping is hardwork! Wearing Daddy's hat to keep the son out of his eyes, Timothy was fast asleep!
Munching on cookies and drinking hot chocolate. Timothy's fishing a marshmallow out of his drink in this pic!
Yea! The tree is up and decorated! For the past 2 years, Timothy has had this fascination with Nutcrackers. He loves them! Ours are all just decorative, if anyone knows where I can find a real one, let me know :)

We got our first real snowfall and of course, had to build a snowman! Timothy has been talking about making one for months. He's learning a few Christmas songs and told me that our song needed a "button nose," like Frosty. We compromised with a carrot ;)

While baking cookies, Timothy decided to entertain himself! Let me tell you, these spice containers proved hours of fun!

Good 'til the last drop

We love to watch Timothy finish all his cereal. This was broken up into a couple of video's so I thought I'd play you the most fun part - finishing the milk!

Important things to little boys...

(& Big ones too) Fishing Trips!

Casting like a pro ;)

Yes, he actually held a fish!

He wasn't at all afraid!

Thanks Brad for all our pretend catches ;) (Brad was kind enough to let Timothy reel in the big ones!)

A Daddy & his son

Whew! Fishing is really tiring!

What a difference a week makes!

Molten Chocolate Cakes

Here it comes! I told some of you that I'd post this recipe. I found it in a Kraft Foods magazine a couple of years ago and it's become one of Brian's favorites! I've been told that you can buy fancy shmancy things to make molten cakes, but these don't require anything special, are so simple, and are very yummy!

4 squares BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
1 cup powdered sugar
2 eggs
2 egg yolks
6 Tbsp. flour

PREHEAT oven to 425°F. Butter four 3/4-cup custard cups or soufflĂ© dishes (I use glass pyrex bowls). Place on baking sheet.
MICROWAVE chocolate and butter in large microwaveable bowl on HIGH 1 min. or until butter is melted. Stir with wire whisk until chocolate is completely melted. Stir in sugar until well blended. Blend in eggs and egg yolks with wire whisk. Stir in flour. Divide batter among prepared custard cups.
BAKE 13 to 14 min. or until sides are firm but centers are soft. Let stand 1 min. Carefully run small knife around cakes to loosen. Invert cakes onto dessert dishes. Serve immediately, topped with whipped topping. Enjoy! :o)

My favorite :o)

Need I say more? :o)

Catching Up, Part 2

Thanks to Gramma, Grandma, Grammy, MaMa (all Brian's Mom ;) Timmy loves to play dress-up with hats! Look at my little cowboy :o)

This was the day we found out Pop Pop passed away. He always took me to feed the ducks, so I took Timmy out and we attempted to feed the ducks.
Love you Pop Pop.

If you look closely, you can see Timmy holding my doll from when I was little, Tin-nee, he was showing "the baby pictures."

Tyler & Timmy, BFF

Timmy picking his "toekin" as he calls it! He has this funny habit every time his socks come off, he can't help but pick his toe lint. I can't say too much because I remember doing this when I was little too!

This day, Timmy & Joshua were dedicated at church!
Side note: Never wait until your child is 1. Do it much sooner! He was sssssoooo antsy!

I took this from our kitchen window. Timothy was "helping" Daddy load leaves onto the truck. He looks like a good supervisor!

My brother, Paul, gave me this shirt. He had kept it safe for years. It was mine when I was little! Only, I think I was 2 or 3 when I wore it! Definitely older than Timothy. And he's already outgrown it!
Ready his Hungry Caterpillar book from Anne!

His Daddy's left him big shoes to fill, but I know he can do it :o)

Helping Gramps & Daddy build his swing set.
This was the day Timothy started calling Gramps "Pop." He calls my Dad "Pop" and they both drive a black Dodge Dakota. So, naturally, when Gramps pulled in, it was Pop.
Even if it didn't look like him!
Timmy's John Deere.

Almost always, when I check on Timmy, this is how he's sleeping.
So precious.

The Blog is Back!

Hi Everyone!

I haven't posted in MONTHS! But that's because every time I try, my computer eventually times out and nothing will go through. We now have roadrunner at the new Nodine's office in town, so I'll use my coffee breaks (the guys take one, don't they?) to update the blog. And this time, I'm not going to add just pics, but other things as well. My favorite whatevers! So to kick off the new & improved blog, I'm going to share one of my favorite new recipes. If you're pregnant and I'm bringing you a meal, this is likely what you'll get!

Chicken Divan (or as the blogger called it on their website "Chicken in a Pan With a Tan")

1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 can cream of mushroom or cream of chicken soup
1/4 to 1/2 cup milk (enough to make it creamy but not soupy)
2 cups cooked, cubed chicken
1-1/2 to 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 package frozen broccoli (florets or chopped, your choice)
Cooked white or brown rice, 2-3 cups

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9×13-inch pan or similar casserole dish, something a bit smaller than a 9x13 made a creamier casserole. Mix mayonnaise, soup, milk, chicken, cheese, and pepper. Cook broccoli according to package directions. I plop it all in the pan and mix it up right in the baking dish. You can layer it, but that doesn't seem to work very well for me. Bake for about 35 to 40 minutes or until heated through and bubbly on top.

There are lots of options for this which makes it easy and fun! I added mushrooms one day and the next made it really basic (ok, so those are only the 2 times I've had it, but it's so yummy!)

Catching Up, Part 1

One of Timothy's favorite things to do this winter was to go for a "ski-doo" ride! He begged and begged everyday and abosolutely loved it!

He learned to eat a banana like a big boy :o)

And had his first painting lesson...

Which we gave to Joshua for his 1st birthday!

Timothy loved Aunt Kim's ducks! And was very disappointed when we were there a week ago and the ducks weren't there anymore :(!

While Daddy was taking classes in New Hampshire, Mommy & Timmy had fun at Chuck E. Cheese's! He seriously would've stood there all day and watched the mechanical Chuck E. sing. He didn't even care about the rides/games!

We went to the Strong Museum, Timothy, of course, loved the fish tank :o)

We even learned to enjoy sharing a good cup of tea!

Probably one of Timothy's favorite things we did this winter was go to the Tractor show!

And every one loves an evening in once in a while, even Timothy :o)

I realized Timothy had grown when he tried to get into the bathtub, like he always does, before it's time, and suceeded!
Shouldn't this pic be on a card that says "Having a bad day?"
Open card - "Me too." or "I feel your pain" Haha!
